watched skaters in copley square today they were good maybe fridays are the best days and then these crazyoozycool DIRTY fine biscuits came riding in with faces like beautiful and i don't give half a fuck and i fell in love with all of them on top of already being in love with all the skaters. i wished i wasn't so shy and that one might give me one of those carnations that were in the bike basket but nothing happens me in my jeans jeans jacket two t-shirts one my favourite colour yellow and the other one about trees and my disgusting converse and my backpack which i still want to write lyrics on. and i've just come from the public library and i'm in love with all of you.
i wrote a short story on a whim for the purpose of capturing a particular kind of vibe and celebrating my new e-mail address.
here it is:
and she swam in all of the dying pollution-ridden palm tree surrounded pools in the entire neighborhood. By the 14th pool her hair started to become a bleached green. Her partner in crime dubbed her "chlorine mermaid" and they liked to eat sticky peanut butter graham crackers and drink homemade strawberry lemonade. When the sky got dark, they got in her friend's car and sped 90 miles per hour on the freeway and pretended they were never coming back.
In the morning they would walk to the ocean to watch the surfers and eat poppy-seed broetchen with clover honey and drink tea that they stole from office buildings and coffee shops. In the afternoon they watched skaters and ran around the city making up stories and streaming poetry
